The railway sector is undergoing an unstoppable transformation towards digitisation. We handle the definition of requirements, design, development, implementation, and commissioning of various systems. Concurrently, we manage the warranties of these implemented systems and carry out their maintenance to offer a full cycle service.

We collaborate with train maintainers, offering a comprehensive maintenance system. For our customers we realise, among others, public information projects, on-board video surveillance systems, seat reservations or maintenance services. Digitisation benefits each of these onboard systems, as new technologies allow us to offer a different user experience and improve operational efficiency and maintenance services.

One of these technologies is data management, which takes the form of tools that enable Trebide to collect, classify and analyse data. Proper data management is essential both from a descriptive perspective, to understand what is happening and react in real time, and from an analytical-predictive viewpoint, to anticipate events that are likely to occur. When it comes to working with data, communication technologies such as 5G are also relevant, as they ensure communications are fluid and reliable. Additionally, wireless communications contribute significantly to sustainability and energy efficiency, allowing us, for example, to achieve our connectivity goals by reducing wiring use.

In terms of system maintenance

One of the most important benefits of digitisation is the opportunity to perform remotely many tasks that until now had to be carried out in the field, such as software updates or repairs.

Moreover, most of these operations can now be performed at any time and with fewer resources, without requiring the vehicle to be stationary or in the workshop.

Trebide’s offer to our customers consists of a comprehensive maintenance service, where the different activities are dissected and divided into work baselines. These baselines are sized using a specific unit of measurement and specialised means depending on the activity to be carried out. Furthermore, in this process, we introduce digital tools and assets capable of analysing and parameterising the available data and the behaviour of the equipment, either in real-time or based on historical data.

With this information, at Trebide we are able of predicting demand and sizing the service according to projected requirements. This results in a significant increase in operational efficiency, thanks to better planning of maintenance resources and a lower failure rate, but also greater cost efficiency. Dimensioning the maintenance baselines and adapting them to the real needs of the client allows us to plan costs and provide a flexible service tailored to actual demand.

In short, our proven digital tools and software assets enable us to offer our clients more competitive solutions, accelerate the implementation of integrated systems, and guarantee a differentiated maintenance service.

Furthermore, the digital tools and assets we use in our comprehensive maintenance service are also useful for customers to track and monitor the systems themselves. At Trebide, we offer our customers the use of these tools in various marketing models, such as through licences or an “as-a-service” model.
