Objective
The section of the AP-1 motorway in Gipuzkoa runs largely through tunnels. The ITS safety and control systems in these tunnels were installed in accordance with the technology and regulations in force in the early 2000s, and work is now required to bring them into line with current regulations and technology.
Result
Under this contract, Bidegi now has facilities that comply with the European Directive on road tunnel safety, underpinned by open and up-to-date industrial technology.
This has enabled the company to meet its objectives of improving infrastructure safety, operational efficiency and system maintainability, whilst reducing technological dependency through the adoption of open, market-based architectures and solutions.
